Street Furniture

Wellington Town Council manages the maintenance and installation of minor street furniture including benches, planters, noticeboards, and bus shelters (from 1st April 2025). The map below shows the items that we are responsible for. If there is an issue with any of these items please contact us.

Street lighting and bins are looked after by Somerset Council and any issues with these facilities should be reported to them at www.somerset.gov.uk. Requests for new lighting or bins should come through the Town Council first as they will need to be funded by us. The map below shows bins that have been funded by the Town Council, these are still emptied by Somerset Council. If there is any damage on the bins that we have funded please let us know.
