The Town Council is immensely proud of it’s Pop-Up Shop that launched in autumn of 2019 and it has proved to be one of our success stories. The shop is located at 31 Fore Street next to H T Perry & Son & Granddaughter, the ironmongers.
The Pop-Up Shop is intended to give entrepreneurs an opportunity to try out their business ideas in a real high street scenario. As well as this, the shop is used by businesses or crafters to have a more structured selling space for a short span of time instead of the usual market circuit. Businesses ranging from dog treats to oil paintings have occupied the shop since its inception.
The shop is also regularly hired by charities and community groups to raise money and awareness. Wellington Town Council will give not-for-profit organisations a week in the Pop-Up Shop for free once per year. As per the handbook, this will be done once a month or up to 12 times per year. “Free” bookings for the shop need only pay a £100 deposit which will be refunded minus the cost of electricity used during their stay.
The rates of hire, terms and conditions and and application form can be found on the links below;
The Pop Up Shop can be hired for periods of one week, two weeks or one month (four weeks). If you are interested in renting the Pop Up Shop, please contact us.
