There are a mix of litter bins and dog waste bins throughout Wellington and Rockwell Green, many of which have been funded by Somerset Council and some by the Town Council.

Dog waste bins are emptied twice weekly by Somerset Council. It is acceptable to place dog waste bags in litter bins if there is not a nearby dog waste bin rather than to leave the bags lying around. It is recommended to double bag any dog waste disposed of in this manner.

 

Any new requests for litter bins or dog waste bins nowadays have to be funded by the Town Council. If you have a site where there is no bin but you believe there should be, please ask the Town Council to look into it via email to [email protected].
