CANCELLED – Green Corridor Tree Planting 23rd November

So far this week, we have had 3 nights of frost and a day of snow, which has made the ground hard and then wet with the thaw. In addition, Storm Bert is now forecast for the whole weekend bringing high winds and up to 20mm of rain on Saturday 23rd, with warnings of localised flooding.

We want everyone to enjoy the tree planting days, and these conditions are far from ideal for that! We are also aware of other events planned for Saturday which have taken the same decision to cancel and therefore we feel that this is the best way forward.

Our next planting date is on Friday 13th December. In the meantime, our team has been working with volunteers and Councillors to heel in the saplings in preparation for the community planting days throughout December.
