Yesterday’s Service of Remembrance was wonderful, well done to everyone who came together to make this possible and thank you to all who attended the event.

We had veteran representatives from many Armed Forces branches who came to pay respects to the friends that they had lost as well as those who sacrificed themselves in wars of the past.

Notable attendees included MP Rebecca Pow and 99-year-old British Empire Medal awardee Madge Covey.

The Parade had representatives from the following groups:

• Wellington School CCF Band
• Wellington Town Council
• 40 Commando Royal Marines
• Avon & Somerset Police
• Local Schools
• Youth Organisations (Scouts, Brownies, St John’s, Cadets)
• Majorettes
